PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Freeway Flyer Volkswagen Irs Transmission 1973 Thru 1979, 12 Volt 4 Speed Manual Gear Box.
This Transmission Is Built With A 3.88 Ring & Pinion, .89 4Th Gear Which Gives A Little More Top End And Keeps Engine RPM's Lower At Cruising Speeds.

Type 1 Vw Bug, Beetle, Karmann Ghia 1973 Thru 1979
Manx Buggies 1973 Thru 1979

This Is A Stock Rebuilt Transmission And Is Intended For Stock Horsepower Vw Engines. Although It Can Fit Baja Bugs, Sandrails And Dune Buggies We Do Not Recommend Any Stock Transmissions For These Applications, See Our Performance Transmissions For Offroad And Hi Performance Use.

We happily accept returns or exchanges as long as the merchandise is in NEW condition (never been installed/mounted), complete with all original packaging, within 60 days of receiving.

  • Orders over $400 are subject to a 10% restocking fee

WELL MADE

Nice pieces. I made a few modifications that I feel improves them. I trimmed off a significant portion of the flat stock so it conforms better to the shape of the door and looks less bulky. I also replaced the passenger side mirror with a convex one which is a great improvement. Finally, I painted them with bedliner for durability.
